Information on Frontlines. Frontlines: FOW, on the Xbox 360 console, will be a 32 player, non-linear sandbox first person shooter, similar to the Battlefield series. It is being developed by KAOS studios, which include the makers of the groundbreaking Battlefield 1942 mod, Desert Combat, which actually inspired the Battlefield 2 series.
The game will be server based and is said to include vehicles, both land and air, and will be a teambased multiplayer experience. In the game the objective is to push your frontline forward and fight for key objectives and territories on the battlefield to give your troops the momentum in the skirmish and close in on the enemy forces. It is slated for release in January 2008.

One big change from any of the other console fps games is the squad spawn. Its going to change the way we play. Any of you that have played BF2 on the pc will know what I'm talking about. All of our clans co-leaders will most likly be squad leaders and their going to make or break taking control points on the front line. The ability of the squad leader to stay hidden and help his squad take a control point will be very important in this game. If your a co-leader and your reading this , your going to want to be thinking sneaky ! for FFOW

I have watched my friend play BF2 PC several times. The squad-based play is going to make you have to play for the team and not for yourself. Especially if you don't want a whole bunch of fail to happen.

Yeah playing squad leader is a team player role, its not a role that gets you a ton of points, yet to me its the most rewarding. It gets really frantic at times when your fighting for a flag in a close quarters control point. As squad members you also want to make a point of coming at the flag in different directions so you don't give away your squad leaders/ spawn position, you never want to spawn on the squad leader and run right at the flag.
We are also going to have to have a squad that's a air division. 32 player maps are way bigger than anything seen on the console and air transport will play a big role, not to mention air support. The fuel bomb or napalm bomb on the jets is very devistating in FFOW and it can take out a entire squad with no problem. As for helicopters, one little tip is don't fly high in the air , the jets will rip you apart. You will have to learn to fly 10 to 20 meters off the ground , just like in real life, or some jet pilot will be getting a ton of points off of you. I learned that the hard way back when I first started playing bf2 on pc years ago. If you want to win in FFOW you got to keep your shit wired tight and do the job your meant to do in your squad. I really believe that if we get all our shit straight and use good smart tactical warfare we will be on the top of the clan leader board. Most of the console people will be trying to just run and gun like they do in every other game and we'll eat them alive !!
When the multiplayer demo hits I'm going to start a thread on here with all of my tactical stratigies from playing BF2 pc and FFOW beta pc. It might even be a good idea to run some drills with squads at some point, just so when we hit a real clan match everyone knows their role and what to do. I can't freaking wait for this game to get here !
LONG LIVE STS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sounds good. itll be nice to get a feel for the game when the demo is out that way everyone has a better idea of what their role is and what they enjoy most in frontlines, so when a clan match comes along we already have a plan
